Push Performance – 3.5/5
Push/Pull Performance – 3.5/5
Overall Performance – 3.5/5
The Mayhems Havoc 360 placed 7th in the overall performance rankings, finishing roughly 6% behind the overall winner.
Mayhem’s Havoc radiator’s thick core with low FPI is very similar to the RX v2. However it seems that if anything the new flow path might be hurting the performance slightly as the RX v2 ends up slightly ahead.
The restriction level was medium to high, so pump flow/pressure should be considered if installing multiple Havoc 360’s in a loop.
Features & Quality – 4/5
The matte black finish on the Havoc 360 is smooth and blemish free. The deep internal shrouds help optimize fan efficiency and are fitted with protection plates to stop damage to the core from incorrect length screws being used.
Due to the internal design only 1 inlet and outlet port is fitted and there is no bleeder port/s.
It has a low density core of just 9 FPI (fins per inch) so you can expect to be doing less maintenance to remove dust accumulation and keep the rad performing as well as possible. Having said that, the split fins may trap more dust and be harder to clean than a solid fin.
The Havoc 360 radiator is sold in a kit which includes a Blitz part 2 for system flushing and 1 x Mayhems XT-1 coolant concentrate. These inclusions make for a great value package, if you intend to use the extras.
Summary
The Havoc 360 is Mayhems first radiator to be released to the water cooling enthusiast market. They have taken a new approach to internal design and ended up with a decent performing radiator which is most efficient at higher flow rates. Performance wise it’s just behind the UT60/G-Changer V2 and is a similar all rounder. However it lacks some of the features of the UT60 and the price of the G-Changer V2. For these reasons it drops down to a Bronze Award. The build quality and finish are great. The price seems high, but partly this is because it’s the UK price including high sales tax converted to USD. It is also because it is sold as a kit which includes value adding items.
