Push Performance – 3/5

Push/Pull Performance – 3.5/5

Overall Performance – 3.5/5

The tuning of the Phobya G-Changer 360 V2 core is extremely well balanced and thermal results were great across the full range of flow rates and fan speeds tested. This makes for a decently performance radiator over a wide range installation possibilities – it is however set up best with push/pull fans.

G-C V2 - APF All

Despite this all-round capability, there was nowhere that the radiator really shone either.

The G-Changer V2 is also really low in flow restriction and even more so at higher flow rates compared to the other radiators in the test group.

Features & Quality – 4/5

The G-Changer V2 sports 4x G¼ ports, making it versatile for installations, but it has 2 ports less than it’s otherwise identical twin, the UT60. The V2 does have a fill/bleed port which is another great feature. The inbuilt screw stoppers add some “insurance” for the core during installation and are another great inclusion. The fin count of 10 FPI means that you’ll be doing less maintenance due to dust build up on the fins. The radiator feels solid and weighty and looks to be well constructed. Both construction and the paint finish on the supplied sample was very good.

As with it’s twin (Alphacool UT60) the biggest downside about the G-Changer V2 is the excessive material that was left from manufacturing process. All soldered tube radiators have some residue that must be flushed – it’s just one of those chores that must be done when preparing to install any new radiator to your loop. It’s just that Phobya/Alphacool seem to have more than the other brands. With the recent launch of specialty radiator cleaning fluids, this chore has been made easier and with far better results than we used to be able to achieve.

Summary – Bronze Award

An all-rounder with good features and decent quality. It is the near identical twin to one of the best performing pc radiators of the past 4-5 years. The decision on which to choose will come down to personal opinion and whether you would benefit from the addition ports from the UT60 or if the G-Changer V2 will suit your needs for less.

The Phobya G-Changer 360 V.2 is deserved recipient of a bronze Award for it’s performance and quality.
