EK Water Blocks, premium water cooling manufacturer based in Ljubljana, Slovenia has introduced no less than 3 new products for Asus’s line of DC2 GPUs. They are all full cover blocks that directly cool the GPU core, VRMs, and memory. First up is the EK-FC R9-280X DCII for the Asus R9 280X DC2 GPU. It is available in three different variations; nickel plexi, nickel acetal and CSQ nickel plexi.

All three blocks allow up to four of the same type to be connected together using various methods (EK-FC Terminal, EK-HD Tube & Adapter System or EK-FC Bridge CSQ – depending on the water block variant). All three blocks are also complimented with a custom backplate (purchased separately). EK Water Blocks is currently working on the full cover blocks for the following cards: Asus ROG Matrix GTX 780 Ti, Asus ROG Matrix R9-290X and MSI R9-290X Lightning. The Lightning block should be available early April with the Matrix blocks following in May.
Lastly EK Water Blocks is working on a new value oriented water block for the first NVIDIA® Maxwell GM107 GPU based GeForce® GTX 750- and GTX 750 Ti series GPUs. EK-FC750 GTX will feature single-slot design to free adjacent PCI-E slots and allow stacking of these graphics cards. Due to the large variety of NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750 (Ti) circuit board designs and no prescribed reference design, this water block will directly cool GPU and RAM only in order to maximize hardware compatibility. Very exciting news from EK and we look forward to testing all of said blocks!
