For information on how to read these plots check out this explanation. The XSPC D5 top performs strongly improving upon the default Laing top no matter which ports you used:
The difference was even more exaggerated when using a D5 Strong pump at 24V:
This was somewhat surprising because the volute itself is very similar in design to the Laing, even though the materials are slightly different. Comparing the top to the competition we see that it acquits itself admirably:
The top like the Laing does slightly favor higher restriction loops, but it still does well across the entire range of interest. This is particularly true with the D5 strong:
Summary
A well priced high performing top that’s let down by some slight style inconsistencies.
