The case comes flat packed in order to save on shipping costs. Each piece is individually packed very well by the crew at CaseLabs.
The standard case comes in matte black, matte white and grey primer if you want to paint the case itself. A new feature that CaseLabs is offering is a powder coating service. They have a large variety of colours that they can paint your case. When I contacted CaseLabs about powder coating I had expected an email with JPEG files showing the variety of oranges available. Instead, Jim mailed me two aluminum
plates that were powder coated the different shades of orange! This gave me confidence that CaseLabs, although small relative to other case manufacturers, they meant business and take the quality of their work seriously.
Assembly was straight forward and the parts were labeled clearly. The instruction booklet included was detailed and very helpful. All necessary tools were also included so there’s no need to worry about that. The tools are standard sized and the ones included are high quality so they can be used once you’re done with assembly.
