Unlike the regular raystorm that I owned for a while this one is brand new courtesy of ppcs

Again the black insert on the mount plate was loose. I really wish both of those could be fixed down.

Conclusion
Like the regular raystorm the full copper performs almost exactly the same with Indigo Xtreme. When using regular TIM, the bow changes and performance on my socket 2011 test rig got worse. It’s also considerably more expensive than the regular raystorm so it’s hard to recommend this one at all. Even if you need a full metal block I would suggest looking at the CPU-370, Supremacy, Heatkiller or Phobya UC1.
Summary: “Overpriced – 6/10”
